What’s best for your business? Instagram or Twitter

Today, I will be talking about one of the biggest debates we’ve had - Instagram vs Twitter! This article will focus more on what’s better for your business and for entrepreneurs.

Both of these trending social media platforms have their own pros and cons, but which is better for marketing and advertising your business/product. Which social media application has more scope in terms of audience, reach, numbers, and much more!

NUMBERS:-

Instagram: It’s actually pretty evident that Instagram takes this point when it comes to numbers. It has literally billions of users and plus now that it’s a part of Facebook, the number has increased much more. Let’s talk about a few stats here; According to Instagram, it has around 400 million monthly active users out of which 80% are mobile phone users. Instagram uses a Pay-per-click model, also known as PPC where you are paid when a customer engages with your ads. It generates a revenue of around $2 billion through ads! But when it comes to popularity or showing the presence of influential people, Instagram has a lot of them. Thus masking out on a lot of these accounts.

Twitter: Twitter is behind Instagram in numbers, it has around 700 million users worldwide. This number has comparatively decreased after Instagram became popular. Twitter has around 316 million active users around 500 million tweets are posted daily, which is not a bad numbered when compared to Instagram. Just like Instagram, Twitter also uses the PPC model and generates $900 million through ads. Twitter users have the presence of big and popular celebrities, who prefer Twitter themselves for example Elon Musk’s Twitter handle. ENGAGEMENT:- Instagram: Instagram provides maximum engagement when it comes to any social media apps, especially after bringing in reels. From the numbers factor above we can see that it has the highest number of active monthly users. One more aspect where Instagram gets a head start is that it rarely shares any second interface link so, its users keep scrolling through the feed staying in that app.

Twitter: This is one of the major factors where Twitter falls back. Twitter does not see a lot of engagement and it’s more popular for sharing website links that redirect the user to another app. There is one advantage is that Twitter allows users to retweet literally any content, Instagram only allows users to repost public account posts. This is where any content can go viral on Twitter trending by retweeting. LIVE FEATURES:- Instagram: Instagram has a magnificent element of offering live sessions. When you are an advertiser, it is mandatory for you to connect with the clients and offer your contemplations with them. And Instagram has enough provisions to help you. You can without much stress, interact with your clients by means of stories, Instagram Live and Instagram Television, or IGTV. This is a major element, particularly for the advertisers, business people, and powerhouses. You can likewise plan your Instagram presents beforehand to have some rich substance to bring to the table to your supporters.

Twitter: Twitter search additionally gives the element of live content sharing yet you can't straightforwardly interact with different clients. Twitter also has content scheduling highlights yet the steady update framework will simply prompt your tweet also get lost on the immense platform in the event that you need more things to share. However, Twitter fairly comes nearer to Instagram with regards to live news sharing, yet that isn't sufficient. ADVERTISING AND SELLING:- Instagram: Instagram is a more trustworthy platform when it comes to advertising products. You can easily earn money by monetizing your reels, IGTV videos, and posts. With the help of Facebook insights, sellers can monetize their content. Moreover, they can also link their online stores/ websites to their posts so that their customers are directed to their website with just a click.

Twitter: Twitter’s advanced search has advertising strategies, but they are not as effective as that of Instagram. Twitter can be primarily used to promote brands but the major drawback is that tweets cannot be monetized. Not only this, sellers cannot link their websites to their tweets. More engagement and sales are achieved only when you have a considerable amount of followers.
